"Sonnwendfeier" at Das Franzl
The Sonnwend Celebration is a long-standing tradition across Austria and the Alpine region.
Every year around the summer solstice, large bonfires are lit to celebrate the longest days of the year and the beginning of summer.
A true Salzkammergut tradition
In the Salzkammergut, these celebrations have been part of local culture for generations. Friends and families come together to enjoy live music, good food and a special evening outdoors.
As darkness falls, the bonfire is lit, creating a unique atmosphere directly by Lake Wolfgangsee. A summer evening that combines tradition, music and the beauty of the region.
