Experience the special atmosphere in our house, because Das Franzl is different than most of the traditional houses of the region. All rooms & apartments have been newly renovated and are lovely, imaginative, furnished with vintage furniture and unusual decoration surprises. Tradition and modernity merge into an exciting & unique concept. Each floor has its own theme: on the ground floor you sleep in the "garden", on the first floor in the "tree zone" and on the second floor in the "mountains". In all room categories there is free fast Wifi!
At the breakfast buffet and in the small restaurant "Franzls Fischzeit" with "Steckerlfisch" (fish grilled on a stick) and Tarte Flambé we place great emphasis on regional and high-quality ingredients from June to August. A true highlight for young and old are our alpacas and mini ponies, they always ensure a good mood and very special holiday photos!
A cozy promenade leads to only 800m in the beautiful Berau Bay on Wolfgangsee. The swimming area with sun loungers, the fitness studio, the sauna and the sports rental are also available to our guests.
With our e-scooters with 25kmh speed and a range of 60km, all destinations around the lake are easily accessible.
Our mini camping with 5 pitches offers you a peaceful camping experience with a personal touch away from the hustle and bustle on the lake. Our Glamping Dome in the garden with a transparent roof, perfect for romantic stargazing, offers you an extraordinary overnight stay.

In our apartment with up to 5 beds is enough space for the whole family or for a holiday with friends.

Glamping Dome
... unique! Sleeping under the stars! With 20 square meters of living space and spacious terrace, our dome tent is located directly behind Franzl in the garden. Air conditioning, television and fast free Wi-Fi are provided. A special feeling of living arises through the transparent roof, perfect to watch the stars. Private bathroom with toilet and sink in the main building, showers can be used by the camping area. Incl. Pampering breakfast with regional products in Franzl.
Glamping Tiny House
Exceptionally furnished with the same standards as our beautiful rooms but with a bit more feeling of adventure and freedom. The large panoramic window allows a wonderful view at the green landscape and the glass roof invites you to count the stars! 10m² special holiday flair with real wooden floors, cozy furnishings and a private terrace! Mini Camping
Our small but cozy campsite in Franzl's garden is just perfect for those who would like to enjoy a little "out of the hustle and bustle" in their camping holiday!
5 camping pitches, new sanitary facilities in the main building, electricity, TV. The lake access in the Berau is of course also available to our camping guests! Every day fresh pastries are available at Franzl or you can book the delicious breakfast right away!
Directly at Franzl you can observe very special animals: a small group of alpacas and mini-ponies. Alpacas enchant with their funny facial expression and their friendly and curious mind. And our sweet mini-ponies are always happy to make friends with new guests. Our house cat Edi always likes to be caressed by little cat fans.
Products made with 100% Alpaca wool
Alpaca wool is one of the most valuable natural fibers worldwide and has unique properties: It is very soft, pleasant on the skin, has perfect thermal properties, is odorless due to the low lanolin content of the wool and even suitable for allergy sufferers. The wool of our alpacas is processed into comforters and hand-crocheted toques, headbands and mini alpacas.
